[UPDATE] Red Alert 3 coming to PS3 before Xmas

Despite Silverman's comments, EA has released a statement today confirming that while Red Alert 3 is indeed still in development for the PS3, it won't be released before Christmas.
"There are no plans for a PS3 release of Red Alert 3 anytime before Christmas," a spokesperson said.

Electronic Arts producer David Silverman has confirmed that not only are EA LA resuming work on a PlayStation 3 version of Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3, but the company also plans to utilize the consoles Blu-ray functionality to add additional content.
“If you’re a PS3 owner and you don’t own a PC and you don’t have an Xbox 360 you don’t have to write on your Christmas or Hanukkah list that you want to have an Xbox,” said Silverman.
“You can play Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3, bide your time and you’ll be very pleased.
“We’re looking at doing some really cool things with the PS3 version. Since it is shipping later we’re putting in a lot of cool content and really taking advantage of both the 1080p nature and the high-defness of Blu-Ray and also the fact that it can hold just so much more space.”
Expect to hear more from EA soon, as Christmas is only a month away and we have yet to hear an official release date.

Shouldn't the title be "Red Alert 3 comming to PS3 before xmas?" the writer is implying it IS comming before xmas.
And it was never an exclusive, it's on PC too. And if EA don't make this PS3 version Mouse and Keyboard compatible, I'll be getting the PC version, whcih will be the superior version.

Are you kidding me?! I just got End War because this wasn't coming. AND that's fast. I smell a horrible EA 360-to-PS3 port. And yes, there's no reason NOT to put keyboard mouse support, even if you leave in the controller mapping.

Did he actually *say* it's coming before Christmas?
You're jumping the gun if you've based it on “If you’re a PS3 owner and you don’t own a PC and you don’t have an Xbox 360 you don’t have to write on your Christmas or Hanukkah list that you want to have an Xbox" since that doesn't confirm anything. He could say that if it's coming out anytime next year really.

On second thought, I just looked at the screen shots and I don't like the overly-futuristic design of the units. They are too detached from the reality-based stuff I used to like about C&C in the first place. End War is supposed to be in the future, but it looks like a possible future...this looks like Halo Wars.

By the way, I figured out why we get this "nice surprise". EA didn't make enough money on it on the 360 and PC (duh!). They are so desperate to make sure they recoop losses on it that they are THROWING TOGETHER A PS3 PORT FOR THE HOLIDAYS AFTER FIRST SAYING IT COMES NEXT YEAR, THEN CANCELLING IT ALTOGETHER.

Agree, after all this delay it should have keyboard n mouse support but they should also include tiberium wars aswell since that was also promised uz then delayed.hope the price is cheaper since the game will be old by time ps3 gets it and lots of exclusive content

Well guys dont keep your hopes high, Im a big fan of CC series, but quit Red alert after 3 hours playing and deleted it!
It is horrible, cartoony graphics, easy gameplay (even on the hard). Crappy cutscenes, animations and only 9 missions for each compaign. It took me 3.5 hours to finish 1 the Soviet campaign
